Current location:Home / News / Company news / What are the polar solvents used in gravure presses?
The polarity solvent used in gravure press is a solvent containing polar groups such as hydroxyl or carbonyl, which has strong polarity and large dielectric constant. The polar bonds are offset by the common electron pair, and when the bias is very high, it looks like one side is completely losing electrons and the other side gets electrons, which turn into an ionic bond.
This polar solvent is used in engraving in an intaglio press.
